Celebrating Gratitude 3 weeks ago my friend Dr Sean Ochsenbein and others stood on top the roof of Unicoi hospital in western North Carolina with patients and staff as flood waters climbed the walls of their one-story hospital. He described the support his wife had as two women came to their house and sat with her during those hours Sean's fate was uncertain. He described to me the support he has received. So I asked him, “What can I do for you?” His reply will forever stand in my mind as exemplifying the best in the human spirit. A great example of looking to gratitude and recognizing others. “Do what you can to make sure the support I’ve received from amazing colleagues like Dr Dan Smith, Dr Brian Dawson and Dr Ken Heinrich at SCP Health gets noticed. They have helped me immensely get through what I’ve been through.”
