Screen360.tv wants to further guide introductions through the film festival model's moderated discussions, sparking empathetic learning, language learning, geographic exploration and more. We bring the world in its original languages to learners through diverse cinema and further investigation. Screen360.tv presents expertly curated international films for Gr.7 -12 learners with AP, IB and Common Core curricula informing our selections. Screen360.tv makes the world your classroom. Team Screen360.tv is built on more than thirty years of combined experience in film curation (including establishing four festivals in the Bay Area), film production, teaching, cognitive development, application development, business and learning. Credentials come from Stanford and USC. The Screen360.tv system was originally developed and tested at Stanford Graduate School of Education, the Stanford d.School, Bayside STEM Academy and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital both to engage a project leading with empathy and to counteract the isolation of hospitalization with mediated peer engagement. Now due to the pandemic, we are all isolated from our world. We believe Screen360.tv can address the pains of isolation with both educational and social connection. The Stanford Peace Innovation Institute recognizes Screen30.tv as a Positive Peace Technology.

For years, I've celebrated my birthday by choosing colors over numbers. This year, the color was chosen late due to my deep involvement with Screen360.tv in the NSF iCorps. Screen360.tv, represented by three colors, has been my intense focus since last August; so, of course I'm turning orange, blue and green. As I near the end of NSF Phase 1 and apply for Phase 2 for further funding, the significance of these colors has never been more vibrant. Designed by San Francisco-based designers, these colors have a legacy that I am proud to carry forward with a talented team. Looking forward to another colorful year ahead! It's tremendously gratifying to get a recommendation from another state that reflects the progress in the state where your sitting. The NSF SBIR has been illuminating, challenging, nerve-wracking, heartbreaking and breathtaking. Not too unlike a whitewater river rafting experience. We've built Phase 1 of our platform, tested it with classrooms and analyzed that data. It's enormously encouraging to see our study group show a 30% increase in cultural interest after five sessions. Shouts out to Jennifer Stillman, Phd, Amber McKinney, M.Ed, Dr. Sharoni Denise Little and the team at Cognativ Inc. Now, we're about to spend the next two months in an intense period of further discovery, Steve Blank-style, through the NSF iCorps program under the guidance of Dr. Ruth Shuman. I'm grateful to Amin Malek, PhD, technical lead, Jack Rasmussen, co-entrepreneurial lead, Screen360.tv advisor and Scrum Master, Chris Leano, stepping up as coach, and the Argos of Ed-Tech innovation, John Gamba, for taking on this next challenge with me. Attending Catalyst @UPenn GSE's Innovation Summit resulted in many rewarding opportunities: 1) Meeting members of the Cognativ company in person after nine months of working together virtually to birth Screen360.tv learning platform. 2) Seeing the Cognativ effect on other startups already energized as well as future companies elevated through the Milken Prize. 3) Meeting fellow Stanford GSE entrepreneur 4) Getting a taste of the rigor in decision making that an inspired and committed EdTech innovation center delivers.
