🎉💯🫶🏻Making a vision a reality. For many years we have been working on #interoperability. We have worked process, policy, technology, legislation, standards (e.g., with ONC), and beyond. We will continue to improve and transform health care to ensure our beloved #Veterans can get the best healthcare anywhere. Huge Kudos to VA Interop Power Duo Amanda Cournoyer and Renae Facundus who live and breath interop every day. Many have worked endless hours for many years to make this happen like Jason A. Blaisdell, Dr. Jeffrey Anderson, Harsha Reddy SAFe, PMP, PMI-ACP, SCJP, Jonathan Nebeker, and John Tirrell. #HatsOff U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs

Under Secretary for Health, US Department of Veterans Affairs

BIG NEWS: AS OF TODAY, ALL EPIC AND CERNER HOSPITALS CAN CONNECT TO VA SYSTEMS TO IDENTIFY VETERANS AND CONNECT THEM TO EARNED BENEFITS In 2023, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs announced an interoperability pledge of 13 health systems, who promised to connect to VA using open APIs, identify Veterans in their care, and offer support and resources to them if they are in suicidal crisis, eligible for new benefits and health care under the PACT Act, and electronically share health information needed at the fingertips of clinicians to better care for them. Since then, Sanford Health has identified 12,000 Veterna patients using this API, and those coming in for care received a brochure that outlines all of the health care and benefits VA can offer them, and half of their Vets have a presumptive condition covered by the PACT Act; Tufts Medicine is using the API to identify Veterans in suicidal crisis in their emergency room, connecting them to free coverage by VA for that care and, most importantly, notifying the Boston VA medical center that a Veteran is in need for crucial follow-up care; Marshfield Clinic Health System has connected thousands of Veterans with information on their earned benefits under the PACT Act, and KASIER PERMANENTE is going live with these functions this week! Very importantly, both Epic and now, as of today, Cerner Corporation have made code available to ALL of their hospital and health system customers allowing them to identify Veterans in their workflow by connecting to VA’s open API system. Interoperability is changing Veteran lives— and I am so proud to be part of the team that’s getting it done.

Today we launch Tines Workbench, a product I believe will change the way everyone works. Security teams today need more than AI chatbots and tool-specific copilots. They need AI that helps them securely access their proprietary data - wherever it lives - and take action in real time, but only when and how they specify. Workbench gives them that superpower. Workbench is a Tines-powered AI chat interface built on the same enterprise-grade infrastructure as our automation and orchestration platform, meaning it addresses those important security and privacy concerns. After connecting Workbench to any tool in their stack, users can give it permission to do things like: • Send a message in Slack • Look up an employee in a HRIS like Workday • Create a ticket in Atlassian Jira • Search Elastic for alerts based on specific criteria • Analyze a hash with Recorded Future • Get detections in CrowdStrike Falcon • Lock down a device in Jamf Customers are already saving time on incident response and uncovering new use cases in security, fraud, IT, and more. I can’t overstate how excited I am about Workbench - it’s probably the most important product we’ve released since our original workflow engine. That’s why we’ve made Workbench available to Tines users on paid *and* free Community Edition plans. If you give it a try, I’d love to hear what you think. Learn more at: https://lnkd.in/eXDpEDhi

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost and the courage displayed on September 11, 2001. We honor the first responders, service members, and ordinary people who became extraordinary in the face of tragedy. Their courage, sacrifice, and resilience continue to inspire us all. As we reflect on this day, we are reminded of the strength that comes from unity and resilience, carrying these values forward into everything we do.

🔐 Let’s Talk Zero Trust and Cybersecurity 🔐 Hey everyone! With cyber threats getting more clever by the day, it’s clear that our old security methods just aren’t cutting it anymore. Enter Zero Trust—a game-changer in the world of cybersecurity. 🔍 So, What’s Zero Trust? Zero Trust is all about “never trust, always verify.” Instead of just guarding the perimeter, it’s about checking every single user and device, no matter where they are. Think of it as a security model that’s always on high alert. 🔐 What Makes Zero Trust Cool? -Verify Everything: Always check who’s asking for access and why. -Limit Access: Give users just the access they need, nothing more. -Expect Breaches: Plan like breaches will happen and be ready to act fast. 🔧 Why Should We Care? -Boosts Security: Keeps unauthorized folks out by constantly checking who’s who. -Flexible: Works well with our new remote work realities. -Compliance Friendly: Helps meet those tough regulatory standards by controlling data access. 🌐 Zero Trust isn’t just a nice-to-have anymore—it’s becoming essential. How’s your team dealing with the shifting cybersecurity landscape? Drop your thoughts and experiences below! #CyberSecurity #ZeroTrust #DataProtection #TechTalk #StaySafe
