You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as GenAI in marketing and advertising. But it ain’t about how well you prompt your AI. It’s about how you use the output to build your audience and grow your business. It’s about squeezing every bit from your budget and still moving forward. That’s how winning is done!     A Few Good Agencies Sr. Marketer: You want to be briefed on my brand? Seasons: We think we should be briefed. Sr. Marketer: DO YOU WANT TO WORK ON MY BRAND?! Seasons: We want a shot at earning your business! Sr. Marketer: YOU CAN'T HANDLE MY BRAND! We operate in a high-regulated industry filled with competitors that have huge budgets and a head start. Who’s going to compete with that? You, Mr. Account Lead? You, Mrs. Creative Director? I have a responsibility greater than you can possibly fathom. You weep for other brands, and you curse the state of the industry. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know: that those other brands' bankruptcies, while tragic, probably saved jobs. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves jobs. You don’t want to work on my brand because deep down, in places you don’t talk about in your conference rooms, you want me in this industry. You need me in this industry. We use words like ROI, leads, and profit. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent growing businesses. You use them as punchlines. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to an agency that rises and sleeps under the blanket of marketing I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just say thank you and go on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a spreadsheet and create a pivot table. Either way, I don’t give a damn what you think you are entitled to! Seasons: Did you put the account in review? Sr. Marketer: I did the job I was ordered to do. Seasons: DID YOU PUT THE ACCOUNT IN REVIEW?! Sr. Marketer: YOU'RE GODDAMN RIGHT I DID!
