Today, the second Monday in October, marks Indigenous Peoples Day. This important day recognizes the profound history and struggles faced by Indigenous peoples and prompts us to reflect on the broader history of the United States and the treatment of Native American communities. At Seattle SHRM, we honor this day by acknowledging the Native land on which we work and live. It is a moment for us to pause, reflect, and stand in solidarity with our Indigenous community as we commit to promoting healing and understanding. We encourage you to use this day to educate yourself, engage in meaningful dialogue, and participate in activities that honor Indigenous people's culture, history, and rights. Let us all contribute to a more informed and inclusive community.
