  • We are thrilled to announce the return of Marjorie! 🎉 Originally opened in 2003, owner Donna Moodie named Marjorie restaurant in homage to her mother. It quickly became a Seattle favorite, however, due in part to impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, Marjorie closed their doors in 2023. Through investments from the BCO Fund, Donna is bringing back her beloved restaurant to Seattle’s Central District with a fresh new concept while keeping the same dedication to community. ✨ The BCO Fund is a model that empowers business owners with long-term control and ownership of their spaces, providing stability in our city’s ever-changing landscape. The BCO Fund is a collaboration between the Seattle Office of Economic Development and Grow America (formerly NDC) with support from JPMorganChase. • Exciting news for Seattle's music community! 🎶 The Seattle City Council passed groundbreaking legislation prioritizing parking for musicians and their crews at live music venues! 🚗🎸 The new law will support our vibrant music scene with Music Venue Zone Permits and designated "Music Venue Zones"! The permits create up to three spaces per venue and will allow for convenient parking and loading around the clock, every day of the week, while displaying a valid permit. 🅿🎵 The Music Venue Zones aims to support artists and their crews by making it easier for artists to perform and thrive, and to support music venues which will enhance our vibrant music scene and boost economic development. ✨ Proud to be part of this collaboration with the Seattle Department of Transportation and the Seattle Music Commission to transform the parking and loading experience for our city's venues and musicians! From feedback to action, the Music Venue Zone Permit program is a game-changer in supporting our music scene.
