On October 1, the Recording Academy (GRAMMY™) celebrated the 10th anniversary of Music Advocacy Day, the largest grassroots music advocacy effort in the nation. This annual event is designed to connect Academy members with their respective congressional representatives to voice issues vital to the music community. Krishna Thiagarajan, President & CEO of the Seattle Symphony, is a member of the PNW Recording Academy Chapter Board and the Classical Membership Committee. Our meeting with Congresswoman Jayapal was a powerful show of community, and we appreciate everyone who took time out of their day to show up as advocates for musician-friendly policy and legislation. 📷: Courtesy of the Recording Academy® Photos by Mat Hayward, Getty Images ©2024
