About us
Second Sense provides client-centered vision rehabilitation services in a supportive environment. Our staff understands that vision loss affects each individual differently and adjusting to vision loss is a process. Different people are at different stages in that process, so we provide our clients with the support and training that is appropriate for them and will help them move through their unique adjustment. Each of our programs is designed to have a direct and immediate impact on the quality of our members' lives and to prepare them for more advanced training. Our programs empower our members, encouraging them to take control of their lives, not become dependent upon our services. Many return as volunteers to share their new skills with others. All our services at Second Sense are provided by staff professionally trained and licensed/certified to perform their job duties.
