Our Learning and Development team hosted the first Leader Connection of the year! This event is part of our enterprise onboarding program, giving new hires an opportunity to interact with senior leaders. This panel featured Jake Jones, 2nd VP & Actuary, Business Services, Andrea Piepho, 2nd VP, Life & Annuity Product Development, and Adam Taylor, 2nd VP, Employee Benefit Solutions. They each shared their career journey, perspective on the organization and advice for new employees. 

Last month, over 1,000 employees gathered at Ordway Center for the Performing Arts in St. Paul for our annual All Company Meeting! It was a time to celebrate 2024 and preview what's ahead for 2025. 🎉 Today was Culminating Event day for students in 3DE at Washington Technology Magnet High School and thanks to a marvelous crew of Securian Financial volunteer judges we were able to crown the winning student presentation for case 9.4!! Thank you to the amazing educators, volunteers, and support staff for making this day special for ninth graders, they just keep on impressing us!

In celebration of #BlackHistoryMonth, we were honored to have the President & CEO of The American College of Financial Services, George Nichols III, CAP® at our offices. In a fireside chat, organized by one of our employee resource groups, the Securian Multicultural Network (SMN), George and moderator Nicholas Bailey CSPO, CSM discussed the intersection of African American labor and financial equity. 

We're so excited to be part of the Cloud Coach mentoring program through BestPrep for the eighth year in a row, with over 100 employees participating each year! Yesterday, ninth graders from Washington Technology High School (Saint Paul Public Schools) visited our St. Paul campus for the fifth Securian Cloud Summit, where students toured our offices, attended breakout sessions and shared career aspirations with their mentors. We're proud to invest in the next generation of future leaders.
