CrowdStrike’s lack of internal testing and controls caused this “Global Crisis”. However, what I personally just witnessed a company who deeply showed the world that the leaders of Monopolies have no real understanding how their poor operational practices and limitations and lack of communication can bring the global market to their knees. The basic fundamentals of governance and controls rely on proper oversight and accountability. This entire incident should be a lesson to all leaders who are in accountable roles. Are we a reactive society now? “What contingency plans do you have today and are they current?” This is the least talked about question I hear in conversations. What happened to proactive operational planning? For the last at least 4 years since COVID I have seen organizations panic from cyber attacks, outages etc however, why are companies not doing enough with prevention and back up plans that the entire company can leverage when trouble arises? ✅ Every operations should include operational recovery plans. Not just for technical operations but for business operations as well. ✅ Invested operational training and systems should be provided quarterly to ensure full transparency on how and what to do when there is an emergency. DO BETTER GLOBAL LEADERS!
