Business Email Compromise (BEC). We have seen many emails quarantined among our partners and good amount of them have been from GoDaddy Microsoft 365 compromised accounts. At times we will look up the business and give them a call because many are unaware that someone is sending phishing/malicious emails from their inbox. During our conversations most are at a loss and are not aware of what to do or what to look for but can usually pinpoint a phishing email and password reuse.   After warning others for over a year, we had an opportunity to work delve deeper into a compromised account and guess what we found? -no logging -forwarding rules -connectors to receive mail -a registered application to send/receive email This means that even though the password was changed the threat actor still had access to the email. Can you imagine what damage could be done to your reputation or business? -Do you know how to determine if your email accounts are safe? -Do you know how to lockdown your email accounts in Microsoft or Google Workspace?
