About us
We started as a small group of consultants who were frustrated by the world of consulting. We were tired of being part of over-promised, under-delivered engagements. We were tired of being incentivized to exploit our clients for the sake of our firms. We looked amongst our peers. We saw that they were consistently put into positions where they were destined to fail - through lack of training, lack of support, and lack of clear expectations. We saw the constant burnout and exhaustion. We saw consultants pitted against each other within their own organizations. They spent more time worrying about CYA than ROI. We believe there is a better way - for both our customers and our employees. We want to work WITH our customers - not for them, not against them. We want our consultants to be driven by the success of their customers - not by billable hours. We want our employees to see career advancement that doesn't come at the cost of their hobbies, friends, family, or health. We recognize that empowering and supporting our consultants ultimately leads to those individuals empowering and supporting our customers. We are currently ramped up to provide services across: - Agile Transformation - Business Process Optimization - Change Management - IT Strategy - Omni-Channel Customer Experience - POC Development - Project and Product Management - Risk Management - System Analysis and Design - System Selection (RFP creation, vendor evaluation, and contract negotiation) - System Implementation (Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Point-of-Sale (POS), mPOS, Table Management Systems (TMS), Waitlist Management Systems, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and more) - UI/UX Design Let our Business Analysts, Technical Analysts, Quality Assurance Analysts, Scrum Masters, Project/Program Managers, and Developers help you Maintain Control over the future of your business.

Last month, the Semaphore Team gathered in the vibrant Mexico City for our annual company retreat. We focused on strengthening our company culture and setting clear goals for the year ahead. A key highlight of the retreat was a full day of interactive workshops, where we had the opportunity to collaborate and learn about: 1. Optimizing discovery and onboarding processes – focusing on how to create seamless and impactful client experiences right from the start. 2. Mastering knowledge transfer and project closure – ensuring that our work is concluded with excellence and that all insights are effectively passed on to clients and teams. 3. Exploring the technical components of GenAI solutions – diving deep into how we can harness the power of AI to offer cutting-edge solutions for our clients. We’re ready to take these insights and push forward with renewed energy and purpose! #RemoteTeam #GenAI #AI #CompanyCulture #TechLeadership #Consulting

Happy Tuesday, everyone! ☀ We’re excited to share Semaphore’s quote of the month for July: “More is lost by indecision than wrong decision.” - Marcus Tullius Cicero At Semaphore, we believe in the power of choosing action over inaction. Hesitation and overanalysis can be more detrimental than making a wrong decision. Most decisions are reversible, and taking action helps us achieve our goals without getting stuck in analysis paralysis. By making the best decision with the information we have, we keep moving forward and learning from our experiences. How do you encourage a bias for action within your team? These 5 key strategies for easing the onboarding process resonate deeply with our team’s values. From the inception of Semaphore, we’ve placed immense importance on developing a structured and comprehensive onboarding/training program. We quickly recognized that unlocking the full potential of a new team member is not as easy as pressing an on/off button. A significant investment of time and effort is required to set up our consultants for success. We begin by identifying a baseline of where our new employee is at and then develop a personalized onboarding plan that allows us to start bridging the gaps in their understanding. This ensures our consultants are not just prepared, but truly ready to deliver exceptional value to our clients from their very first project. By emphasizing a program where feedback loops from mentors and mentees refine our approach, we continue to evolve. Our goal is to ensure that every new employee feels fully engaged, thoroughly prepared, and genuinely excited to tackle the unique challenges of our industry. It’s about creating an environment where learning is continuous, questions are encouraged, and patience is a virtue. On Day 1 of their first project, we expect our new Semaphorians to still be nervous, but quickly gain confidence as they realize they've been armed with the tools, skills, and knowledge required for them to be able to add value to our clients from the get-go. We make sure to let our new hires know how they'll be supported throughout their time here and help them feel safe knowing they have a home base where they can always turn to when navigating new or ambiguous waters. Let’s make onboarding a gateway to growth and success for everyone stepping into a new role! #onboarding #consulting #training

5 ways to make onboarding easier: 1. Have a structured program Don't try to "wing it" on this. Build a program, run everyone through it, and make improvements as you get feedback and results. 2. Create in-depth guides Telling someone how to do something is often ineffective. Consider making videos that show them how, so they can look back when needed. 3. Let new hires shadow One of the best ways to learn is watching someone else do it. Assign new hires to a more exprienced person. Give them a short-term mentor. 4. Encourage questions If a new hire is too scared to ask questions, they won't, and they'll keep making mistakes. Encourage asking, and also reach out to them to ask if you can help them. 5. Stay patient No matter how good an onboarding program is, there will still be issues as people get integrated. Stay patient and be kind to people as they're growing.
