Motivated by a desire to enrich lives and invest in resilient communities, Sempra employees transformed our lobby into a back-to-school supply drive this month. Together, hundreds of employees collected notebooks, backpacks, pens, pencils, crayons and other supplies and monetary donations for the La Mesa-Spring Valley School District, which was impacted by severe floods last January. Thank you to teachers and staff for their incredible dedication to shaping the leaders of tomorrow.

🤝 Helping shape a brighter future for the communities we serve. The Sempra Foundation recently granted funds to the GRID Alternatives National Tribal Program, enabling their team to provide photovoltaic solar panels to the La Jolla Band’s Tribal Elders Hall. ☀️ The project aims to generate enough electricity to help the tribe save an estimated $250,000 in energy costs over 20 years.

⏪ Let's rewind back to Sempra's Empowering Our People Fair at Petco Park's Gallagher Square. Employees got the opportunity to participate in wellness screenings, meet the San Diego Gas & Electric wildfire mitigation goats and learn more about the pillars of our high-performance culture including safety, wellness, D&I and our sustainable business strategy. The fair served as a reminder of how each person contributes significantly to the company's continued growth and advancing a better future for all.

Sempra employees, along with the Sempra Foundation, are helping advance a better future for all. In 2023, more than $27 million in strategic grants were given to community organizations. Learn more about the positive environmental and economic benefits from these grants in our Corporate Sustainability Report: https://lnkd.in/ggHGY2Ek 🌳 Over 470,000 acres of land has been protected, and 92,000 metric tons of CO₂ has been reduced as a result of solar installations, cleaner cook stoves, mangrove conservation and restoration, tree planting programs and other carbon sequestration initiatives. ⚡ Over $2 million is projected to be generated and saved primarily from the delivery and installation of cleaner energy equipment and technologies in communities in Mexico and California over the lifetime of the equipment (15-25 years) and economic empowerment programs.
