Seneca Environmental is grateful and honored to be acknowledged as the first official Preferred Provider for the Alliance for Tribal Clean Energy, an Indigenous-led nonprofit offering no-cost capacity-building support to tribal nations. With its Preferred Provider Program, the Alliance is addressing barriers to renewable energy development on Native land. The program, which helps tribes connect with highly qualified, ethical renewable energy developers and service providers, is a natural fit for Seneca Environmental. As one of just a few tribally owned renewable energy development and services companies, Seneca Environmental is ideally positioned to work with Native communities in an equitable and respectful way. Thanks to Chéri Smith, Jennifer Peterson Rouda, and everyone at ATCE for including us in this important work! #EnergyTransition #RenewableEnergy #EnergyEquity #JustTransition #TribalCleanEnergy
Delighted to share that Seneca Environmental is the first firm of over 120 interviewed in the last 10 months by the Alliance for Tribal Clean Energy’s tech team to meet all of the requirements to become an Alliance Preferred Provider. An acknowledgement of this was presented by ATCE’s CEO Chéri Smith, Preferred Provider Coordinator Angelina Papakee and me to Jeffrey Ellis and Erin Dayl of Seneca at our recent Tribal Energy Equity Summit (TEES) hosted by the Muscogee Nation in Tulsa. Thanks to Seneca Environmental (a Tribal enterprise wholly owned by the Seneca Nation) for leading the way and supporting our non-profit program that is intended to provide vetted, qualified referrals for financial, environmental planning, engineering, and renewable energy development expertise to Tribal nations looking to transition to green energy. DM me if you would like to learn more about the Alliance’s Preferred Provider Program and the other technical resources we offer at no cost to Tribes.
