The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2) is a play-based assessment with five modules that offer activities designed specifically for different ages and developmental levels. They are used to evaluate Autism Spectrum characteristics in children. Children as young as one year through adolescence may be considered for ADOS assessment. The ADOS generally takes between 45-60 minutes to complete. The examiner will provide a summary of observations following the assessment and each family will receive a report which includes the child’s strengths and areas of need, along with an appropriate diagnosis and recommendations.
