Earlier this year, we launched a campaign centered around our #PetsOfSequoia. With that, we also completely lifted breed restrictions in the majority of our communities. From pet-centered resident events to supporting pet-friendly living, we are thrilled to announce that we've received three awards from the 2024 Pets & Housing Awards by Michelson Found Animals Foundation : 🐾 Most Creative Pet-Centered Event 🐾 Most Innovative Pet Marketing Campaign 🐾 Best Leap Forward Award We have also been awarded a grant of $1,000, which we have proudly donated to the Front Street Animal Shelter in Sacramento, CA!🎉 This recognition is a testament to our commitment to advancing pet inclusivity in apartment living. #ElevateToSequoia

Our Purpose initiative continues with our Bay Area teams! Last week, they spent two different days volunteering at the Oakland Zoo. Together they helped remove invasive plants that could further harm the animals. The Zoo depends on volunteers to prepare these habitats for the animals and we were happy to lend a helping hand.🌱💚 #ElevateToSequoia

Mentor 🤝 Mentee Sequoia’s Mentor Program pairs seasoned managers with the next generation of Sequoia leaders. Over the last two years, James, an Assistant Community Manager, has had the opportunity to be partnered with Theresa, a Senior Community Manager. Reflecting on his experience, James shares, “Theresa is more than just a mentor to me - she has been a trainer, a friend, and a guiding light throughout my professional journey. Our teams have been spreading the ❤️ and giving back to their communities: ✨ Our Orange County teams partnered with Orange County Parks for a beach cleanup ✨ Team Shadow Ridge Apartment Homes in Simi Valley donated items and stuffed bags for displaced children at My Stuff Bags ✨ The Denver region planted and mulched trees at a local park with Denver Parks and Recreation ✨ Team Eddyline at Bridgeport supported Rose Haven at their shelter We love seeing our teams #ElevateTheEveryday in their communities. #ElevateToSequoia #Purpose

Our Teams 🤝 Volunteering As part of Our Purpose initiative, our regions come together annually to give back to their communities! This past week, our South Bay Area teams volunteered at Martha's Kitchen, chopping vegetables and packing produce for their grocery distribution. Martha’s Kitchen provides nearly 250,000 meals each month through their hot meal and grocery programs. We're proud to make a positive impact on the greater community. 💙 #ElevateToSequoia
