The best reason to live here is the life here.

About us

Serenbe is a wellness community connected to nature on the edge of Atlanta. A neighborhood full of fresh food, fresh air and focused on wellbeing. This community is set among acres of preserved forests and meadows with miles of nature trails that connect homes and restaurants with arts and businesses. Serenbe’s architectural planning sets a new standard for community living. Imagine a place where you know your neighbors—and they know you. Where you meet the world out your front door and nature out your back door. Where small-town living meets big-city amenities. No matter the season, something is always happening at Serenbe. Experience everything from gallery exhibits and artist lectures to world-class dinners and outdoor concerts. Or simply stargaze on a rooftop garden or near an outdoor fireplace. Serenbe is a community with a true sense of place. Where design details include distinct and varied architecture, granite curbs and eclectic lamp posts. Serenbe’s townhouses, cottages and estate homes honor the beauty of the land and facilitate a closer relationship between you and nature. The pace is slower at Serenbe: You can stroll or stride. Be or do. Individuality is encouraged — this is not a cookie-cutter culture.

Then and now. ♥️ 50 years ago, some of you might remember.. "In 1973 Steve Nygren and Dick Dailey opened the Pleasant Peasant on a seedy stretch of Peachtree Street just north of downtown.. Within months, lines stretched out the door. Nygren grew the chain to 34 restaurants across eight states before selling them in 1994 and founding the new urban utopia Serenbe." -Atlanta Magazine 50 years later- Serenbe's newest restaurant and cocktail destination, Austin's, is now open and thriving! As featured in Eater, Austin's opened its doors on Saturday, July 20th, to a full house of excited guests. From its innovative cocktails, intentional dishes, to its inviting ambiance, Austin's has become everything we dreamed of and more! Whether you're a longtime fan of The Pleasant Peasant or new to Serenbe, we invite you to discover the magic of Austin's. Stop by to enjoy experimental cocktails, delicious dishes, and the same warm hospitality you've come to expect from Steve's earlier ventures. We can't wait for you to experience Austin's drinks, delicious dishes, Jazz nights, and oyster happy hours! 💫 www.austinsatserenbe.com #eateratlanta #pleasantpeasant #serenbe #atlhistory #atlantahistory #atlien #exploregeorgia #atlrestaurants

🤔 Do you ever wonder, "what has Serenbe Founder, Steve Nygren been up to the past 2 months?" 🍃 From sharing Serenbe's biophilic community and hosting influential leaders such as the Kalyon Group from Istanbul and the Mayor & leadership of Lilburn, to joining a group of global thought leaders to envision the creation of a community on the edge of Ottawa, Canada, Steve is always on the move. Last week, Steve joined KSU professor Robin Puttock and student Neeya Yahaya on stage at the AIA Spire conference in Asheville, NC, to present the collaboration between KSU and Serenbe to reimagine the Art Farm at Serenbe campus. Recently, he enjoyed seeing Kathleen Bertrand bring her talent to the Art Farm at Serenbe's "Under the Tent" series, where a sold-out crowd of 300 rocked to the beat. Steve says, "There's no need to slow down." Did you know that when the Nygren family first moved to what is now Serenbe, Steve was looking to retire? If retirement means doing what you desire, then you could say that, in a way, he did. For Steve, building walkable, biophilic communities is exactly that. As we age, people often tell us to slow down. But did you know that staying active as we age actually makes it easier to remain active? Life in Serenbe supports a social, walkable, active lifestyle connected to nature and community. 🌳🏘 In just 2 weeks, October 7th & 8th, Serenbe is hosting the Nygren Placemaking Conference for the curious and those who want to build infill or a full community. You will hear from the many people who have helped us build this vibrant, multigenerational community! Details & Register: https://lnkd.in/eJ3Ys967

🍃🏙 Thank you Green Building & Design Magazine for featuring Serenbe as one of the three examples of placemaking in action. "Despite already being home to more than 1,000 residents and multiple businesses, Serenbe is less than 50% built out and far from complete. “We have created a place, and people are coming here,” Steve Nygren, CEO and founder of Serenbe, told gb&d in a previous interview. “That’s what placemaking means. We have people moving to Serenbe who never thought they’d live in the South. That’s because of the place we’ve created.” " Read the full article here https://lnkd.in/ekMhrH4e
