Congratulations to Morgan Temple for achieving her #peoplepoweredgoal to run a half marathon! After welcoming her son, Palmer, in July 2023, Morgan was driven to find an activity to improve her physical and emotional health. She joined run clubs throughout Grand Rapids and set a vision goal to complete a half marathon. During her training, Morgan enjoyed celebrating her records and sharing progress updates with her team. With her teammates checking in and cheering her on, she felt a strong sense of accountability that kept her motivated. Morgan shared, "Having a support system that encourages me made all the difference." After months of training, Morgan completed the Millennium Meadows Half Marathon, pushing her son in a jogging stroller the entire way. She says, "Crossing the finish line with Palmer was the best part of the race. My postpartum journey inspired me to start running again, so reaching this milestone with him by my side felt fitting." Despite the challenges along the way, Morgan is incredibly proud of her accomplishment and looks forward to running another half marathon in 2025! Way to go, Morgan! Your hard work and perseverance are truly inspiring!
