    Enjoying my time at the #MURTEC 2025 conference with Rigvinath Chevala, CPTO at ServiceChannel. It’s always valuable to engage with fellow technology leaders in the restaurant space, discussing today’s challenges and sharing our outlook for the future. A highlight for me was the keynote speech from Daymond John of Shark Tank. His story and journey is truly inspiring! It was also fun to hear some behind-the-scenes insights from Shark Tank. Day 2 ended with a fantastic session from Damola Adamolekun, Red Lobster's new CEO, where he shared his strategy and outlook on turning around the brand. Damola emphasized the importance of getting back to doing the basics right, identifying challenges, and solving them with the guest experience in mind. He also highlighted how crucial the overall experience of the built environment is, including the ambiance, look, feel, and music, in enhancing the guest experience. I could not agree more! I’m looking forward to seeing the resurgence of the Red Lobster brand again. Fun fact: Red Lobster buys 25% of all lobster and crab sold in the US. Fascinating! I’m also looking forward to speaking on stage tomorrow as part of a panel discussion moderated by Editor-in-Chief Robert Firpo-Cappiello. Joining me on the panel will be Steven Drapeau of Stratix Corporation, David Naumann of Verizon, and Amber Trendell of Oracle.
