With nearly half of U.S. births covered by Medicaid, achieving complete coverage in Virginia – where our journey began – shows that truly accessible maternal mental healthcare is possible. This moment isn't just about Virginia – it's about setting a new standard for what's possible in maternal mental healthcare.  🕊️

More exciting news from Seven Starling! I'm thrilled to share that we are now in-network with TRICARE! As one of the nation's largest healthcare programs, TRICARE provides coverage for 9.6 million military community members, including active duty personnel, veterans, and their families. For our military families, finding accessible maternal mental health care can be uniquely challenging, and we're committed to changing that. With maternal mental health conditions impacting more than 1 in 3 TRICARE members – significantly higher than the national rate of 1 in 5 mothers – expanding access to specialized support for our military families has never been more crucial. I couldn't be prouder of our team and provider community for making this commitment to our military families. 🕊️

We are thrilled to welcome Razie as our new Executive Assistant at Seven Starling! 🌟 When we asked Razie what inspired her to join Seven Starling, she shared: “I was inspired to join Seven Starling because its mission deeply resonates with my values, and I’m excited to contribute to such important and impactful work. When I became pregnant with my first child, I discovered a deep passion for helping mothers through every stage of their journey, and this passion grew even stronger during my second pregnancy, at the height of COVID, when life felt especially challenging. My experiences have reinforced my belief that all mothers deserve real care and support, without having to worry about cost.” Welcome to the flock, Razie Altholz! 🕊

I'm thrilled to announce we are now in-network with most Medicaid plans in Virginia (including Anthem, Sentara & UnitedHealthcare). When we founded Seven Starling, our mission was clear: lower the barriers to care to ensure women have access to the essential maternal mental health resources that they deserve.  Accepting Medicaid is a crucial part to achieving that mission, and we’re so proud of this first step in Virginia to making that vision a reality. The need for maternal mental healthcare remains unbearably large and affordability can often be a barrier for finding the help many women desperately need. Almost half of U.S. births are covered by Medicaid and accepting Medicaid enables us to broaden our access and affordability. We first launched in the DC-area, Maryland, and Virginia, and have since extended our reach to Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and most recently, California and Florida. So while we plan to add Medicaid in more states soon, it feels like a bit of a homecoming to start in Virginia.  One of our Company Values is to “Tackle the hard things” and accepting Medicaid is a prime example of our team’s relentless efforts to do so in pursuit of our mission. I’m so proud of our team and provider community for leading the way and inspiring others to prioritize access.
