Sarah brings deep expertise in Operations and has spent the last 4 and a half years working in operations in the digital mental health space.When we asked Sarah what inspired her to join, she said "I strongly believe that mental health care is foundational to overall health care. In 2022, I welcomed my first child. I had support from my family, friends and care team, yet it was still a challenging period in my life and career. No one can prepare you for the unique experience your body and mind will go through. I was inspired to join Seven Starling because of the opportunity to impact an area of healthcare that I consider essential to the well-being of all individuals. The health of a mother/partner/daughter, in my opinion, is core to the success of the growing family unit. In addition to the mission, I was inspired by the small but mighty team here." Today is World Maternal Mental Health Day and also marks the start of Mental Health Awareness Month. There is a lot to celebrate—access to care is wider than ever and our society has come a long way in destigmatization. At Seven Starling, our mission is to close these gaps and ensure that more and more women are able to receive treatment. We know that caring for women during these transitional stages, times of great growth but also loss, is more than just a job. The best providers in this field help women feel more like themselves, which positively impacts the next generation to come. Here's to all the women doing the hard work and to all the doctors, nurses and therapists who have their back. We salute you! 

We're so excited to welcome Kelly Snyder as our newest Patient Care Advocate! Kelly's brings deep expertise in Operations, previously working across education, retail, and service industries to drive process improvements that enable better customer experiences. Kelly started with us as a Care Coordinator and is now supporting our Operations team to ensure our patients get into care quickly and feel supported throughout their journey with Seven Starling. When we asked Kelly what inspired her to join, she said "I felt really lost and dismissed by the medical system as a new mom struggling with PPD, and it felt so urgently clear to me that we needed to do better as a society supporting folks like me managing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders." This Women's History Month, let's celebrate the achievements, courage, and contributions of women throughout history. We recognize the pivotal role they play in transforming lives, breaking barriers, and fostering positive change. Join us in acknowledging remarkable women like Jane Honkiman, who founded Postpartum Support International in 1987 in Santa Barbara, California. She, and many like her, have paved the way in increasing awareness among communities about maternal mental health care. Postpartum Support International has positively impacted women to every state in the U.S and 36 countries internationally! Let us continue to uplift, empower, and inspire one another all over the world. Here's to the past, present, and future achievements of women, both within our company and beyond. For those of us currently dealing with infertility or having dealt with it in the past, the news coming out of Alabama may feel triggering and devastating. At Seven Starling, we are proud to offer specialized mental health care for every stage of motherhood, which includes supporting patients who are struggling to get pregnant. Our talented clinicians provide our patients with tools that help them better manage the ups and downs of the infertility journey. Yet, even on the best of days, infertility (and treatments designed to conquer it, like IVF) can be incredibly challenging psychologically and physically. People choose IVF for a variety of reasons, some to address infertility struggles and others for medical reasons. Many LGBTQ+ couples or single parents rely on it to expand their families. Whatever it may be, this decision is never made lightly and it comes with a great cost. At Seven Starling, we believe this issue is simple: reproductive health must be protected and that the latest advances in science and technology should be used to help anyone who wants to grow their family. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, anxious, and sad (or all of the above) about the recent news, know that you’re not alone. Please don't hesitate to talk to a therapist, friends, and family to get the support that you need.
