Today, we're bringing you a special edition of the Do Good Charlotte Podcast with our friends at the Queen City Podcast Network - Hurricane Helene. (Recorded Thursday, October 10). For many of us in Charlotte, the mountain towns we see in the news are more than just dots on a map. They're where we're from, where we went to college, got married, or escaped for weekend getaways. Our hearts ache for WNC, and as a state, we're uniting to help our neighbors rebuild. With host Pamela Escobar, we're highlighting three organizations making a unique impact in the recovery effort – and sharing how you can pitch in: - Jason Gudzunas, Executive Director Charlotte - American Red Cross North Carolina - Clark Pennington, COO - The Independence Fund - Michelle Schaefer-Old, Founder & CEO - DIAPER BANK OF NORTH CAROLINA 🎙️Listen on Spotify: https://lnkd.in/eXEc2_KP 🎙️Listen on Apple Podcasts: https://lnkd.in/ea--f3YH 💜 View SHARE Charlotte's Hurricane Relief Resources: https://lnkd.in/eY5Kj6Ed WNC - We love you! #DoGoodCLTPodcast #HurricaneHelene

For October, SHARE Charlotte's #SpotlightOnCLT series is shining a light on nonprofit partners who are working to provide our neighbors with safe, stable, and #AffordableHousing. 🏘️ 📈 Charlotte has seen significant challenges related to affordable housing in recent years, including the fact that the median rent cost rose 30% between 2015-2020, significantly outpacing income growth. Swipe through ➡ to see more statistics from Mecklenburg County's Housing and Homelessness Dashboard. 🔑 We are grateful to present this topic to you with the help of our friends at DreamKey Partners, who you’ll get to learn more about throughout the month. Following along for ways you can get involved!

The calendar has flipped to October but we're excited to share two podcasts from September featuring nonprofits dedicated to early childhood education as part of our #SpotlightOnCLT series. 🎙️1️⃣ Freedom Communities Executive Director Hannah Beavers joined Pamela Escobar to discuss how she is steering the organization into the future. 🎙️2️⃣ Pam also spoke with Jared Keaton, CEO at Alliance Center for Education - Charlotte's largest nonprofit provider of early childhood programming - and parent Nadia Omally, whose child participated in AC4Ed's Head Start programs. We're so thankful for the work of these two nonprofits in our community! 🎧 Listen here: Apple Podcasts: https://lnkd.in/ecD9xCg6 Spotify: https://lnkd.in/eHy3p5Sr Thank you Queen City Podcast Network as always for your partnership! 💜
