👇 ⚡️🌩️ A perfect storm in global trade has caused a crunch in shipping container capacity. Recent restrictions in the Panama Canal (due to low water levels) and the closure of the Suez Canal in the Red Sea have fueled a sudden spike in ocean freight rates. Delays of up to 20 days are occurring as ships reroute around the Cape of Good Hope. Our carriers indicate a 20-25% reduction in US capacity, with no improvement expected through Q3, coinciding with peak shipping season.
