Are you dealing with procrastination, intentional distractions, and general avoidance? There’s a high probability that you might be a perfectionist or someone with very high standards of work and so you’re making excuses for yourself instead of starting the work and doing the thing you wanna do. What you’re creating is a *failure buffer* for yourself so that if you don’t excel at some thing, you can say “oh it’s because I didn’t have time” or “ I could’ve done it better.” The best way to eliminate the pressure you’re putting on yourself is to: 1️⃣ Journal your intention: write down exactly what you’re thinking, and let your stream of consciousness takeover 2️⃣Revisit your project plan, object, task list: avoidance can happen when we feel like we are ill prepared to combat this goes straight into planning and strategy mode 3️⃣ Set time in your calendar to do the work: this sounds very obvious but in order to “do the work” you need to eliminate all distractions. Silence your phone, and leave it in a different room, noise, canceling headphones, or listen to Lofi beats. Tune in to hear the full details on how to manage your business if your perfectionist or someone dealing with ADHD. #projectplanning #projectmanagement #mindset #failurebuffer #womeninbusiness #perfectionist #worksystems

It’s 8 AM on a Monday, and you’re the only business owner in your friend group—it’s recruitment time! 🌟 And it might not be as challenging as you think to get more women to leap into entrepreneurship.... Most women leave corporate environments due to personal, professional, and systemic factors. 👇Here's the research, I don't make it up! 𝐋𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤-𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞: Long hours, inflexible schedules, frequent travel, and stagnant salaries make the corporate exit an easy choice. 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐎𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬: The barriers to career progression, like the infamous (and very real) "glass ceiling," prevent us from advancing to higher-level positions despite their qualifications and performance. 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐢𝐚𝐬: Unconscious bias in the workplace, especially against women of color, emphasizes an unequal environment, and if you don’t have to deal with this, why would you? #EntrepreneurLife #MondayMotivation #BusinessOwner #Recruitment #womeninbusiness #corporatehumor #womenentrepreneurs

“It’s a tough market,” they’ll say. But for who? 😏 Women and women of color, especially, receive the least amount of VC funding—just 1.9% and 0.39% of available capital, respectively. You’ll hear 50 no’s before you hear a ‘maybe.’ So, get as much market traction and revenue as possible on your own dime. That way, when they come back to love bomb you, you maintain more equity. Follow us for more business tips 😉 and humor, and to cleanse your feed from the ever-growing “I’m so humbled to announce…” posts. #womeninbusiness #vcfunding #womensupportingwomen #womenentrepreneur #businesshumor #businessadvice
