🌟Full Circle Moment🌟 Our Executive Director, Precious M., had an incredible opportunity to hear from White House Domestic Policy Advisor Neera Tanden, U.S. Deputy Secretary of Education Cindy Marten, AmeriCorps CEO Michael Smith, and MENTOR CEO Jermaine Myrie as they celebrated surpassing the goal of engaging 250k new tutors and mentors through the National Partnership Student Success under the Biden-Harris Administration! 🎉 This initiative provides vital support to students across schools nationwide. We’re proud that the SHIELD Mentor Program played a role in achieving this milestone. Precious McKoy shared how this experience reignited her passion for empowering young leaders and reinforced the power of nonprofit-school partnerships in shaping brighter futures. As a Guilford County Schools educator, it’s a full-circle moment for her, seeing firsthand the positive impact mentoring has on both students and teachers.
