I'm excited to announce Bryan Rekowski and I have started a podcast detailing our journey as a start-up and all the fun and challenges that are involved in that process. I didn't anticipate ever getting into the podcast world but there has been a lot of interest and questions about how we're doing and what lessons we have learned already, so we're excited to share that journey with everyone. We have a long way to go, and a lot left to learn, but the discussion is a fun one. The first episode of The Ramp Up will be released in the very near future so keep an eye out! Episodes will be available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and YouTube.

One of my favorite things about starting this venture has been bringing more amazing people into the fold. We’ve been able to grow the Hoplite family over the last month, and I’d like to welcome Andrew Konrath, Cindy Edith Carrillo, and Guillermo Sanmiguel to the Hoplite team! Andrew Konrath – Senior Sales Executive I’ve known Andrew for a long time, and was lucky enough to bring another friend into the business. Anyone who knows him understands the immediate impact he can make from a coverage standpoint, but he is also just a perfect fit for the team culture as well. Packers fandom aside, we could not be more excited to have him wearing black and orange. Cindy Carrillo – Operations Specialist When we spoke to Cindy, we knew she was an amazing fit for Hoplite. She brings amazing positivity and personality with an impressive industry background and desire to learn. She will be our first employee in Operations, and we know she’s the perfect person to help bolster and organize our account growth. Guillermo Sanmiguel – Senior Carrier Sales Rep Sanmi had amazing success at his previous role, and his wealth of knowledge with cross-border will be immeasurably valuable to our growth. His obvious determination coupled with a team-first attitude were amazingly impressive, and we knew he was a perfect fit for Hoplite. He is a rockstar and we can’t wait to watch his evolution with a front row seat. We had an amazing time in San Diego and Guadalajara (but I mean, who doesn’t?) welcoming them to Hoplite, and are looking forward to continuing to grow our amazing team. Congrats to you three!

There is nothing better than good times for a great cause, and the Bitfreighter team accomplished that in spades this week at the Karen Cameron ALS Golf Tournament. It could not have been a more beautiful day, and we had a blast. Kudos to Brad Perling for putting on an amazing event for a cause very close to him, and to Hannah Feldhacker for organizing the event so flawlessly from top to bottom. Shout out to our teammates Shawn Hunter and Alex Polston of Stevens Trucking for one hell of a round! It was an honor gents. We'll be back to defend our hardware in 2025!

Yesterday, I spent the entire day driving a golf cart with Ryan Rogers at the Bitfreighter Golf Event and stopping by to talk to all the individuals and companies that attended. I have to say, Brad Perling and his team did an incredible job organizing the event. It was great to spend the day with people from the freight community, all in support of such an important cause—ALS research. A huge thank you to Brad and his team for inviting me. It was absolutely worth flying in for the day. I’m already looking forward to attending again next year. Having fun on a golf course is a much better form of networking than attending a conference. Here are a few photos from yesterday. (Shoutout to OTR Solutions for the hat!)
