As reported on March 21, 2025, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network of the U.S. Department of Treasury issued an interim final rule that revised the Reporting Rule under the Corporate Transparency Act so that the CTA only applies to foreign reporting companies registered to do business in the U.S. Foreign companies registered before March 26, 2025 must file a beneficial ownership information report, or required amendment to a previously filed BOIR, no later than April 25, 2025, while those registered on or after that date must file within 30 days of receiving their registration notice.
