We are thrilled to announce our partnership with American Gold Star Mothers (AGSM) to further support the military-connected community. Over the weekend, our team attended their open house, banquet at Fort Myer, and a meaningful wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery. This partnership allows us to provide logistics and shipping solutions to assist AGSM with military care packages, fundraising efforts, and ongoing support for families of fallen service members. ✨ "Meeting with the Gold Star Mothers was humbling," said Michelle Williamson, Co-Founder of Ship Thrifty. "It's an honour to use our logistics expertise to help them carry on the service begun by their children." This is a glimpse of some items in the Gold Star Mothers Corporate Headquarters that show some of the organization's history. They represent the strength and resilience of the mothers and families who have lost loved ones in military service. The members volunteer thousands of hours every year to support Veterans, Active Duty Military, and their families. Here is a quote from their website: "Gold Star Families share a special understanding of the pain experienced with the loss of a child. Together we offer each other support, friendship, and a shoulder to cry on. We are here to provide a hand up when a family is struggling emotionally or financially."

We spent the past weekend reflecting and honoring the fallen with the American Gold Star Mothers in Washington DC for Gold Star Mothers weekend. It was truly an honor and privilege to be at their open house, banquet, and be at Arlington National Cemetery when @patticullerelliot, the current American Gold Star Mothers National President laid the Gold Star Mothers wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. We were among esteemed military leaders including General Charles Q. Brown Jr., the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff who was the Keynote speaker as well as General George, the Army Chief of Staff, the Army Reserve Command Chief Warrant Officer and other leaders from each of the military branches. We also ran into some friends from the Blue Star Mothers of America and the American Legion at the commemoration.
