Zero Trust can seem impossible to fully execute at the enterprise scale. Because that's not the right goal to begin with. That's why we start with a small stack of your critical data, work the process, (securing both the network and endpoints) test, verify, and gradually expand. To help understand the steps to real Zero Trust, here's our flowchart of how we hands-on and verifiably define trust zones, one pile of data at a time. We build monitoring use cases built on the trust zone definitions so we can alert on data access that happens from outside the trust zone. Feel free to keep it as a handy tip sheet or print it out for your wall. #zerotrust #cybersecurity #infographics

We all know that if you wait for a heatwave to buy an AC the shelves at the hardware store are going to be empty. Or you’ll have to pay scalper prices or get something you're not sure about. 🥵 There’s no need for financial compliance and risk experts to wait. ⏳ You can already see it’s getting hotter as cyber threats 👩💻🤖 get more complex and sophisticated. You can feel the regulators standing behind you. And knowing where to help guide your organization allocate its cybersecurity resources can feel like you’re blindly tossing pails of water 🪣 on a house fire. But what if you had a map? 🗺️ Enter the NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0 (CSF) – your strategic heat map. It helps you spot the "hot zones" 🌶️ in your cybersecurity posture, showing where the risk is rising and where resources need to be focused. Whether it's shielding sensitive data or reinforcing network defenses, the NIST CSF acts as your guide so you can focus on where you need to cool down the areas of highest risk. 🧊 Don’t wait for the cyber heatwave to get unbearable before picking up what you need to beat the heat. Join us for a webinar this Thursday, October 3rd, 11am-12pm EST, led by former USPS CISO Gregory Crabb, where we break down how financial institutions can leverage the NIST CSF to direct their cybersecurity efforts. 🤓 Register today and learn how to use the heat map to stay ahead of the next heatwave! If you don't start by analyzing a single stack of critical data, are you really doing Zero Trust? #zerotrust #cybersecurity #ZTA

Just no. It's time to shine a light on toxic #cyberbro culture. #WIT #paloaltonetworks #blackhat #cybersecurity
It's 2024, but we still have to explain why it's not okay to use women as objects at a technology conference. 🚫 So, in August, Las Vegas hosted Black Hat USA, a respected cybersecurity conference. As a long term partner, Palo Alto Networks (PAN) had a corner at the event. And for some reason, the cybersecurity giant had paid women to stand at the entrance to its networking event dressed up as human lamps, wearing revealing evening dresses, their faces covered. After the backlash, PAN CEO apologized (https://lnkd.in/deTqZkJp) – saying that the marketing decision was "tone-deaf, in poor taste, and not aligned with our company values or brand campaign". We appreciate that. Like most large companies, PAN declares on its website that it is "actively building an inclusive and diverse workforce" and that "we are committed to expanding our inclusion initiatives to create a fair playing field for all to thrive—where our workforce better reflects the world in which we live." - - Why do we need to talk about this? That's why. Precisely because, even in the comments section of the PAN CEO's public apology, many people feel the need to wonder what the problem was. "The atmosphere was good!" Tuomo Rusila, a cyber defence expert from the Finnish Defence Forces, recently spoke on the 'Gentleman Hackers' podcast about the role of women in cyber security, and how important it is to get women involved in cyber defence. So I'm asking, if a global cybersecurity employer presents women not as experts but as decorative light bulbs at an industry-leading event, what signal does this send to women working in cybersecurity or considering a career in the field? Companies need to understand their impact and their responsibility. #womenintech #WIT #inclusion #cybersecurity
