Discussing OSNexus scale-up and scale-out capabilities 🔝 At Supermicro’s #OpenStorageSummit, #theCUBE hears from Steven Umbehocker, CEO of OSNexus, on their scale-up and scale-out approach to data storage management. “At OSNexus, we don’t focus on scale-up or scale-out, we do both. That's because the application workloads vary, and the cost savings you get with a smaller scale-up configuration can matter in a big way to the bottom line. The other unique thing is our grid technology, which solves this management headache that organizations have around these storage silos,” Umbehocker shares. “With the grid tech, you can have multiple clusters of storage in different data centers and manage it as one. Those clusters can be a combination of scale-up and scale-out configurations under one big umbrella.
