Back to my embedded roots this week working with GPS for Silicon Labs Works With 2024 IoT Developer Event! This Asset Tracking application developed by Arrow Electronics and eInfochips (An Arrow Company) uses the Silicon Labs SiWG917 which provides a low power Wi-Fi connection to send GPS, orientation, temperature and humidity data (collected from SparkFun Electronics add-on boards) to an Azure IoT Hub. Live data can viewed in a dashboard and historical data is available for download. I got my start working in connected embedded applications for Trapeze Group Europe / UK developing a real-time bus tracking application, so this a real trip down memory lane.
