She loves robots so much that she and her aunt drove 40 minutes just to visit me at the SpartanNash Family Fare in Eaton Rapids. We had such a fun time together, and when they heard there was another Tally robot at BJ's Wholesale Club, they couldn’t resist making another trip to see me somewhere else! It’s heartwarming to know that kids like Shirley enjoy spending time with me—especially since it makes grocery shopping a little easier (and more fun) for the adults. And hearing that Shirley is excited to share her summer robot adventures with her STEM teacher makes it all the more rewarding. Tally here to share the good news that is true in the United States and Europe. By using technology to improve inventory management, retailers are increasing profitability while offering a superior experience for store teams and shoppers every day!
The recent ECR Retail Loss report detailing the sales impact of improving inventory records is an excellent piece of work that, for me, had five key takeaways worth sharing. The study, which involves data from seven large European retailers, highlights the extent of today's inventory inaccuracies – and the revenue opportunity available for those who address it: 1 - 60% of SKUs analysed were impacted by inventory inaccuracies. 2 - Improving inventory accuracy led to approximately 4% to 8% sales uplift. 3 - Overstocks and stockouts equally affected sales. 4 - Inventory accuracy deteriorated over time after a stock count, emphasising the need for continuous monitoring rather than periodic audits. 5 - Prioritising efforts on high-volume, expensive items significantly boosted sales when inventory accuracy is improved.
