Declared in 2004, October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month. This month, SimTech pledges to raise awareness regarding cybersecurity risks by encouraging our employees to watch their online actions, generating a discussion on cyber threats on a national and global scale. We can increase our online safety through four simple actions – using strong passwords, turning on multi-factor authentication, recognizing and reporting phishing, and keeping our software updated. Our SimTech employees got “spooky” over the last few weeks to help support The Caring Link - Madison County’s First Annual “BOO-Tique” Halloween Costume Closet! We collected costumes to support local children in need of Halloween gear this year.   This Saturday, October 12th, The Caring Link’s “BOO-Tique” closet will be open from 12pm to 3pm for all ghouls and goblins. The Caring Link is located at 14155 Hwy 231 431 N, Suite B, Hazel Green, AL 35750. 🎃   #simtech41

Tana is a Business Operations Analyst working on one of our technical programs. Her day-to-day duties include providing procurement compliance and budget tracking across her assigned programs, as well as assisting when needed in shipping and receiving. Tana also serves as the facility safety officer for her building. She enjoys working with and learning from her coworkers across all departments at SimTech. Before SimTech, Tana pursued her Bachelor’s Degree in Contract Management with a Minor in Accounting from Athens State University. She believes that SimTech has been able to provide cutting edge engineering services to our customers for the past four decades that have shaped the DoD industry greatly. Yesterday, SimTech’s Contracts Department hosted a “Happy New Year” party to ring in the new fiscal year for all of our corporate facilities. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, by the end of this year, more than 360,000 people will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Over the years, advancements in early detection methods continue to increase the chances of survival. At SimTech, we understand that finding cancer before it spreads is critical and we encourage our employees to stay consistent with their annual checkups to prevent late detection.
