Yesterday, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Sioux City broke ground on their expansion: Angeline's Wing for Children & Families. This 7,200-square-foot addition will feature an expanded entrance and waiting area, offices for youth mental health specialists, and a dedicated psychiatrist suite with private check-in, along with additional therapy spaces. This project enhances the agency's existing mental health services to better serve children and families in our community.

Yesterday, the Siouxland Chamber had the pleasure of celebrating with new Chamber member Agape Community Services at their vision casting and land dedication event. Agape officially inaugurated a 38-acre site designated for a long-term rehabilitation facility. This new facility will provide support for addiction recovery, transitional housing, job training, and other essential services, conveniently located near the new Woodbury County Law Enforcement Center.

We’re excited to showcase the artwork of Amy Thompson, owner of Art SUX Gallery, at the Siouxland Chamber office. The pieces on display, part of her "Olives" series, are acrylics on paper and have never been on display before. To see more of Amy’s work, visit Art SUX at 525 4th Street in downtown Sioux City.

We’re just one month away from the Small Business EXPO at the Sioux City Convention Center! Join us on Thursday, November 7, from 4 PM to 7 PM. Yesterday, we officially welcomed The Warrior Apartments as a new Chamber member. The Warrior Apartments offer 22 upscale living spaces, complete with a fitness center, rooftop patio, game room, and an elegant lounge area. Residents also enjoy 24-hour security and concierge services for added convenience and peace of mind.

The Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center and Betty Strong Encounter Center celebrated the completion of a new storage shed on their museum grounds, constructed by students from the Sioux City Career Academy.

This week, we had the pleasure of celebrating with Connections Area Agency on Aging as they launched the USAging Ring Initiative. Through this program, 500 Ring doorbells or stick-up cameras will be provided to seniors in financial need, helping to enhance safety and security.
