  • Our own Sister Sally Butler, OP (S. Charles Kathleen) was welcomed home by God on October 6, 2024. She was 93 years old and had devoted 75 years to religious life. Sister Sally ministered in education and social work. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from St. John's University, a Master of Arts from the College of St. Rose, and a Masters in Social Work from Hunter College. She became a force for good in an impoverished neighborhood in Brooklyn working in Social Services and SNAP. Sister Sally sought justice for many, including a young man she helped raise, and co-founded Catholic Whistleblowers, an organization calling for accountability in the church. We ask that you remember her and all her loved ones as they mourn her loss. Called to be one of our #SignsofJoyandHope, receive our sister now into the company of St. Dominic, St. Catherine of Siena, and all who are rejoicing that they are remembered by God. You can learn more in this article from Global Sisters Report: https://lnkd.in/eeMbKHGP
