3D scanning helped confirm the floor plan in this 215 year old townhome. 3D scanning is a great option for older homes because it can easily capture floor flatness and unique features. #3dScanning #revitmodeling #oldhomes #floorflatness

Here's a preview of the 94,350 square feet of office space we scanned in Boston. Final deliverables for this project included a floor flatness report and Revit models of the interior and exterior. Look at the difference between the scanned video and the photos in the comments. Scanning can help envision the space as a blank canvas! This church needs a little TLC and with 3D scanning, now there's a starting place. #3DScanning #3DModeling #RevitModeling

This space had a storage department dating back to the 1920's - it was like opening a time capsule! Recipe boxes, TV with VHF dials, and refrigerators with ample freezer space?! Crazy. We scanned the interior and exterior to provide a Revit model and provided a basic 2D floor plan of the space above.

The 3D model in this flythrough does a great job showing off the unique aspects of this apartment; the spiral staircase, curved walls, and vaulted ceilings. It can be hard to get a true feel of unique spaces with 2 dimensional renderings so let us help you scan your space! #revitmodel #3DScanning #3Dmodeling

Here are some things to consider when thinking about having an existing condition survey done on your next reno project that will affect the overall cost : -Should the model be Approximate or Precise? DD or SD. -What elements are to be included? Just A&S or details like existing sprinklers, speakers, TVs, outlets, switches? -Are we to scan and model above the ACT to get deck heights or mepf elements? Does the scanning need to be done during off-hours? If CAD sheets are needed, do they need to be annotated with schedules with every room dimensioned?

We recently had the opportunity to scan 558 Massachusetts Avenue, headquarters of the League of Women for Community Service, as part of their restoration process. Its amazing to see the differences in the technologies capturing this location over the last 70ish years - from grayscale photographs on film to 3D renderings. The derivable for this project is a LOD 400 Revit model - so cool to see the details at this level!
