Ashleigh, a 27-year-old from San José, CA, is on an exciting journey toward a career in nursing at Evergreen Valley College. With previous academic adventures at Cal and De Anza, Ashleigh is fueled by a passion for healthcare and a heart for
service.
In the classroom, Ashleigh shines brightly as the top-performing student in five courses over the recent summer, spring, and fall terms. Beyond her studies, Ashleigh enjoys swimming, traveling, cooking, and giving back to the community. Her volunteer efforts are truly inspiring—she’s been involved in everything from serving the homeless to spearheading a program at her previous company that provided essential services to those in need across the Bay Area. She also volunteered as a student CNA, lending a hand to nursing home residents in the South Bay.
The Santa Clara Family Plan (SCFHP) Scholarship has been a game-changer for Ashleigh's scholarship, offering the financial support needed to continue her education and reigniting her motivation for a career in nursing. This scholarship has given her a “renewed sense of determination and excitement about [her] future.
Looking ahead, Ashleigh is eager to continue making a positive impact by supporting those in need and advancing her education in nursing. She’s enthusiastic about creating and leading new programs to benefit various communities.
