Meet Ryan. A recent scholarship recipient of our PulteGroup Build Your Future SkillPointe Scholarship Program. Ryan is pursuing carpentry at Atlantic Technical College. "This scholarship will be instrumental in me achieving my goal of pursuing residential carpentry by providing the financial gateway to pursue my education and training. Considering the fact that I come from a very low-income family, receiving this scholarship provides me the opportunity to focus solely on perfecting my craft and expertise without having to deal with any financial stress." #workforcedevelopment #skilledtrades #scholarships

We proudly announce that Geoff Duncan, former Lieutenant Governor of Georgia, has joined our board of directors. The addition of both of our recent new board members, Kathy Waller and Geoff Duncan, will help to advance SkillPointe Foundation’s national growth and expansion into public-private partnerships. "The SkillPointe Foundation funds aspiring hard workers who get things done," says founding executive director Alvin Townley. "Our board members reflect that same ethic. That's why I'm so pleased that Kathy and Geoff have joined us on our journey to build tomorrow's workforce by enabling strategic scholarships for high-demand career paths not requiring a four-year degree. During its first three years, The SkillPointe Foundation has raised nearly $4 Million to fund more than 1,000 vocational hashtag #scholarships across fifty states. More than 95% of the Foundation’s scholarship recipients have completed or are still pursuing training, and median post-training income increases are +$23,000 to +$41,000 per year. Half of scholarship recipients have household incomes below $25,000 per year; 60% represent minority groups. #skilledtrades #workforcedevelopment
