For years, Upper Bucks County Technical School has proudly participated in the Community Service Project at Nationals, and this year was no different—except for the amazing addition of Career Institute of Technology who joined the effort! Together with other teams, they took part in the SkillsUSA “Build Skills – Do Good – Complete the Cycle” community service project in Atlanta. The teams skillfully assembled bikes, which will be gifted to local children in need. A huge thank you to everyone involved for making a difference and spreading joy in the community!

Reflecting on an unforgettable journey at the SkillsUSA National Conference 2024! From the thrilling competitions, to the bustling TECHSPO, and all the other exciting activities SkillsUSA Nationals had to offer, every moment underscored the spirit of learning and personal growth. Meeting passionate individuals from across the nation, sharing insights, and forging new friendships made this experience truly special. At the end of the week, the Council treated everyone to a visit at the World of Coca‑Cola, capping off an incredible week of learning and celebration. Congratulations to our SkillsUSA National Champions from District 11! We proudly bring home 3 gold medals and 1 bronze: • Brayden Arnold, 1st place in Motorcycle Service Technology, representing Lehigh Career & Technical Institute • Natalia Yondura, 1st place in the Employment Application contest, from Upper Bucks County Technical School • Jaheem Glasgow, 1st place in Criminal Justice, representing Monroe Career & Technical Institute • Giustino Joseph, 3rd place in Internetworking, also from Monroe Career & Technical Institute Great job to all participants for their outstanding achievements!

Today we wish safe travels to our National competitors and their advisors as they travel to Atlanta, GA for the SkillsUSA National Conference. Each year, before their departure, we celebrate them at our Breakfast of Champions event. Thank you to B. Braun Group for sponsoring and hosting this event. This year we had the privilege of hearing Kaleya Lapaix give her Prepared Speech presentation. Not only was it obvious why she is headed to National but we think she is going to give the rest of the competitors a run for the stage!

Let's rally behind Giustino Joseph, who is set to compete in the Internetworking contest at the SkillsUSA National Conference. Giustino is from the Monroe Career & Technical Institute and East Stroudsburg North High School. His commitment and effort in the Computer Networking program have led him to this amazing opportunity. Join us in celebrating Caleb Goch! He is in the Automotive Technology program at Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School and from Northampton Area High School! Caleb is going to Atlanta, GA to compete in the Automobile Maintenance & Light Repair contest at the SkillsUSA National Conference. We are so proud of his hard work and look forward to seeing him succeed. Go, Caleb!

Shoutout to Justin Cueva from Monroe Career & Technical Institute and East Stroudsburg South High School! Justin will represent the Computer Networking program at the SkillsUSA National Conference, competing in the Technical Computer Applications contest. His dedication and hard work in his MCTI program have earned him this remarkable opportunity. We're incredibly proud of his accomplishments and eagerly await his success. Best of luck, Justin!
