About us

Skyway36 Droneport and Technology Innovation Center, is the premier location for advancing UAS and AAM aerospace innovation in the United States. It is the primary entry point to the Skyway Range, a 1,200 square mile "beyond visual line of sight" flight corridor for UAS and AAM technology testing. Skyway36 features a 90+ acre droneport/airport, 3,000’ paved runway for fixed-wing UAS and GA aircraft and 2,000+ miles of uncongested class G airspace. Skyway36 is home to WindShape’s state-of-the-art UAS testing, inspection, validation and certification facility. It is conveniently located adjacent to the Osage Casino, Hotel and Event Center and only four miles from Tulsa. Skyway36 is operated, managed, and developed by DronePort Network on behalf of Osage LLC. Skyway36 is part of the Tulsa Regional Mobility Cluster, an innovation ecosystem of industry experts, commercial enterprises, universities and research institutions, and government agencies driving UAS/AAM technology and commercial growth in the region. Together, ecosystem partners created the Tulsa Hub for Equitable & Trustworthy Autonomy (THETA), a consortium designed to leverage the region’s assets to advance development, testing, manufacturing and commercialization of autonomous systems. In 2024, the U.S. Economic Development Administration awarded THETA Tech Hub status.

Osage, LLC seeks proposals from qualified respondents to develop a multi-site master planning strategy for the Skyway36 droneport site and adjoining parcels and related facilities. For this master plan Osage, LLC requests a strategy that guides an immediate, industry-specific development strategy conducive for advanced, unmanned aerospace activities and one that specifies feasible, relevant land-use forecasting (3, 5, and 10-year timelines) for real estate activities that complement and enhance aerospace activities conducted at key sites. The master plan requested should identify facility needs and future development options to accommodate potential growth, while assessing the ability of the existing airfield to support the forecast demands. This RFP comes at a pivotal time in Tulsa’s aerospace legacy. Notably, the Skyway36 site was the recent recipient of multiple federal awards from the United States Economic Development Administration, the Build Back Better Regional Challenge program, and the Regional Technology and Innovation Hubs (Tech Hubs) program. These significant federal investments, coupled with the vision and past and future support from the Osage Nation highlights the importance and potential of the airfield site and adjoining properties. Tulsa Fire Department is blazing the way for fire search and rescue. This nominee for the 𝗦𝗸𝘆𝗱𝗶𝗼 𝗔𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 is helping to advance Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) integration in the Tulsa Region, thanks to the work of champions like Tulsa Fire’s Gabe Graveline. Gabe not only tirelessly dedicates time to training and developing the expertise of others, but also educates the broader community on the value of UAS technology. In a recent example of a successful mission, Tulsa Fire was called to the scene of a suicidal suspect who had climbed a radio tower. Deploying a Skydio X2 helped to de-escalate the tenuous situation and enabled the team to help the individual to safety, avoiding a potentially deadly outcome. The relentless pursuit of excellence is what makes the Tulsa Fire Department a leader that sets the bar for the future of UAS operations and public safety.
