Colosseum, the world’s largest radio frequency emulator and open testbed, has announced the integration of support for the deployment of the SLICES-RI Beyond 5G blueprint. This development was demonstrated at the recent National Science Foundation (NSF) MERIF workshop, highlighting the blueprint capabilities and the collaborative efforts behind this initiative. SLICES-RI is designed as a scientific instrument under the umbrella of ESFRI - European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures. SLICES-RI blueprint, intends to facilitate advanced research in future network and communication infrastructures by providing a structured approach to deploying and managing experimental network environments. By integrating this blueprint into Colosseum’s framework, users can now leverage Colosseum’s advanced emulation capabilities to implement and evaluate the SLICES-RI architecture in a controlled, realistic environment. This integration represents a significant step in aligning international research efforts and fostering interoperability across testbed platforms. Colosseum, as an open testbed, continues to cater to a diverse range of research communities by supporting the deployment of standardized frameworks and blueprints. This collaboration underscores Colosseum’s and SLICES-RI's commitments to advancing experimentation in next-generation wireless networks and radio frequency systems, ensuring that researchers from academia, industry, and government can efficiently utilize these testbed’s unique capabilities.
