A Good Leader Can Change Your Life Original Content Creator: Amy Gibson (Give her a follow) --------- It’s said your manager has more impact on your mental health than your doctor or therapist. I believe it. I’ve worked for bad managers. One micromanager had me write down every task I did each day in 6-minute increments. And it wasn’t for billing my time to clients. It was just to keep tabs on me. But I’ve also worked for some great leaders. And I can tell you, it was life-changing. Here are 5 signs you work for one: 1. 👏 Gives you recognition — Your hard work never goes unnoticed. — They thank you for your dedication. 2. 🗣️Values your input — They ask for your ideas. — They listen and take action on your feedback. 3. 🌱 Invests in your growth — They challenge you to grow. — They provide mentorship and opportunities. 4. 🛑 Respects your boundaries — They care about your well-being. — They model a healthy work-life balance. 5. 💪 Sets a strong example — They hold themselves accountable. — They lead with integrity, setting the standard. These leaders are rare, but they exist. And when you find one, everything changes. Your confidence grows. Your career opportunities increase. You enjoy going to work instead of dreading it. If you have one, thank them. They’re a blessing. And if you’re a leader for others, be the kind you’d want to have. You have the chance to improve lives. One person at a time.

𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐮𝐫𝐞. Original Content Creator: Kacy Maxwell (Give him a follow) ------ Failure is useless unless you learn something from it. I see a lot of talk here about how valuable failure is. I recently read a post that stated: “A healthy failure culture rewards intelligent failure. Without it, there can be no innovation. Without innovation, no organization can survive over the long term.” And I agree that failure can be an amazing tool for learning and is essential for innovation. But I don’t think that all failure is immediately valuable without also doing one other thing: Reflection. Just because you failed doesn’t mean you really learned anything beyond the fact that that thing didn’t work. In order to get the most value from a failure, you need to take time to reflect. You should ask questions like: 1️⃣ What factors in my control caused this to fail? 2️⃣ What factors outside of my control caused this to fail? 3️⃣ Which of my assumptions were wrong? 4️⃣ What should I try differently next time? Simple questions like this will help you turn a single failure into a pile of valuable learnings to build from.
