We have added new, innovative functions to the iGlucose® Plus, our industry leading glucometer. The device now has a multi-carrier SIM card, which means that it doesn't just connect to a pre-defined network. Instead, it scans the area for available networks and chooses the best one based on signal strength, network congestion, and other predefined parameters. If, for some reason, the chosen network experiences interruptions or a drop in quality, the innovative multi-carrier SIM seamlessly switches to another available network, maintaining an uninterrupted connection. New features include: Multi-Carrier SIM Dual language (English or Spanish) on-screen prompts and results Individualized testing time reminders set remotely To learn more, please fill out our contact form (https://hubs.ly/Q02Vw0DS0), visit our website (https://hubs.ly/Q02Vw64X0), or call 813-773-4080, ext. 1.

During a recent interview with MedCity News, Dr. Eve Cunningham, Chief of Virtual Care and Digital Health at Providence, a seven-state, 52-hospital, nonprofit health system based in Washington State, said "“I will say for technology where you’re going to have to have the patient use something, it’s got to be really simple and straightforward. Bluetooth pairing, downloading apps, having to have a password? Like forget it, dead on arrival." All of Smart Meter's cellular remote patient monitoring (RPM)™ devices are easy for patients to use because all the patient does is test, and the reading is automatically transmitted with our private data network, through one of our RPM/CCM system partners to the provider. There is no synching, pairing, WiFi, or hub required. And with our Bluetooth Buy Back program, you can receive a $20 credit on every Smart Meter cellular RPM device you purchase when you return a Bluetooth RPM device. In a study published during the American Heart Association Hypertension 2024 Scientific Session in September, researchers "found that, of the 10 evaluated (blood pressure monitoring) devices, nine offered cuff sizes covering arm circumferences from 22 to 42 cm and one offered sizes from 22 to 40 cm. An estimated 6.7 percent of U.S. adults (corresponding to 17.3 million adults) could not use these devices "as is" due to arm circumferences. Black adults (11.8 percent) had a higher proportion not covered by these devices than other racial/ethnic groups (6.6, 5.2, and 1.8 percent for White, Hispanic, and Asian adults, respectively)." "To increase equity, manufacturers should prioritize the development and affordable sale of blood pressure measuring devices that accommodate arm circumferences greater than 42 centimeters (16.5 inches)," senior author Kunihiro Matsushita, M.D., Ph.D., from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, said in a statement. Smart Meter's new iBloodPressure® Classic Multi Cuff monitor (https://hubs.ly/Q02TCYLh0) provides three different cuff sizes that are designed to comfortably fit arms from 8.6 to 20.5 inches in diameter, an impressive 11.9-inch range, setting the benchmark for inclusive, in-home blood pressure monitoring. Many conditions, including cardiovascular diseases, and metabolic disorders, are silent in their early stages. Patients at risk could begin routine testing with cellular RPM devices to help identify concerning trends and allow for changes before they progress to a stage where treatment becomes more difficult, more expensive or less effective. For patients with chronic illnesses, regular testing is crucial to ensure their condition is stable and responding to treatment. Blood glucose monitoring for people with diabetes and blood pressure readings for people with hypertension or heart disease are examples where testing adherence is necessary for optimal health. Deviating from these testing schedules can result in poorly controlled diseases, increasing the risk of complications. Please read our new blog to learn more. https://hubs.ly/Q02Tq5R20 For more information about Smart Meter's proprietary, cellular RPM™ solutions, please fill out our contact form (https://hubs.ly/Q02Tp_3s0), visit our website (https://hubs.ly/Q02TpTbq0), or call 813-773-4080, ext. 1. #testingadherence #improvedpatientoutcomes #remotepatientmonitoring
