Callahan Construction Managers Construction has completed all the foundations (except the exit point for the steel erector), and has started erecting the structural steel. This work will allow for the concrete slabs to begin in early September, and the wood framer to begin by the end of September. SMC Management Corp. It is beautiful to see Spring is full bloom here in New England, and here in Worcester, Callahan Construction Managers has been going full-steam ahead. The shoring piles & lagging are complete; the cuts/fills are wrapping up; the drainage infrastructure is well along its way; and the foundation is completed along the East walls. OPEN FOR BUSINESS!! Hadley Falls has had the second most successful opening month of any SMC Management Corp. project in the past ten years - well done team! Set in the quintessential New England setting, it is surrounded by a picturesque river on one side, an impressive rail trail that goes all the way to Manchester on the other, and a wonderful downtown area around the corner. The renovated Mill Building will have 8 premium units, and the two new buildings will be home to a combined 91 more Class A units. Congratulations to our team for another successful project. Taylor Pointe is starting to really look fantastic from the street. The siding is almost 100% complete, and the masons are making great progress on the stone veneer. PC Construction Company is pushing hard to get ready for the return of the sitework crews at the end of the month, and we are looking forward to the Leasing & Community Spaces being completed by mid-late July. The progress in Worcester is impressive. The foundation crew has started in the Northeast corner, and we expect them to make 50' wall placements every week. The Support of Excavation is almost 90% complete, and the site contractor has installed the underground drainage system in 1/2 of the parking lot. The City of Worcester is working with the contractor to solve a conflict with the sanitary sewer tie-in. Welcome to SMC Management Corp.'s newest project in Worcester, MA - Poet Hill. When Callahan Construction Managers completes this 6 story building (over double parking podium) the views will be spectacular. Maugel DeStefano Architects picked up the design of this project after it obtained Worcester's Planning Board approval. Planned to be completed in late 2025, the site contactor has cleared the trees, and is starting to strip the loam, and rough grading the site. https://lnkd.in/e5XWJfka

https://lnkd.in/epgkvDTA SMC Management Corp. is happy to see our project at Taylor Pointe, in Nashua, NH is starting to reach for the sky - and the vision that Market Square Architects PLLC had, is starting to take shape. The roof is on 4 Sanders St, and the MEPS subs are starting their rough-ins. at 5 Sanders St, PC Construction Company has brought in additional help for the framers, to install the windows - this way, when the roof is installed next week, the MEPS subs won't be held up waiting for the building to be weather-tight. 6 Sanders St continues to struggle for framing manpower; and this building is running a month behind schedule. However, the good news is, that Lynch Excavation is pushing to complete all the drainage systems, and utilities before the hard frost arrives.

SMC Management is committed to bringing another successful project across the finish line - regardless of the challenges. This year we have dealt with supply-chain issues, environmental surprises, and manpower shortages like we have never seen before. SMC Management Corp. has completed all the remediation required with the help of Lynch Landscaping, and they are continuing to make great progress with the sitework portion of this project. PC Construction Company is working in all three buildings: 4 Sanders St is starting to see the wood framing get rolling, 5 Sanders slab on deck is being placed by Cabral Concrete Services, and 6 Sanders is ready for concrete, and the plumbers are wrapping up the underground plumbing. Market Square Architects PLLC are doing a great job of keeping up with Requests for Information (RFI's) and turning around submittals to key the job flowing. Because of the delay due to the remediation, this project should be un-affected by the electrical supply chain issues, that other projects are dealing with. https://lnkd.in/efxX_pu2
