SME continues to work supporting manufacturing and skilled trades pipeline development. Toni Neary on our workforce development team proudly spent a day on Capitol Hill, representing SME and the Skilled Trades Coalition. This important day was dedicated to ensuring that members of Congress understand the critical role manufacturing plays in their state and the national economy, and the importance of continuous pipeline development for the future workforce. Through our work with the Skilled Trade Coalition, we’re actively advocating for policies that support the growth of the talent pipeline for students and educators. Together, we’re working to build a stronger, more skilled workforce that will power the future of manufacturing. Thank you to the offices of the following Congresspeople for meeting with us on these important issues: Rep. Jim Costa, Rep. Jesús García, Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi, Rep. Brad Schneider, Rep. Jefferson Shreve, and Rep. Marc Veasey.
