Not all stainless steel fabrication companies are created equal. That’s especially true when it comes to high-precision aerospace components – products with exceptionally close tolerances and/or complex geometrical requirements. Those types of products require more than just state-of-the-art CNC technology – they demand exceptional experience and craftsmanship. Basically, the more challenging your product design specifications, the more carefully you should choose your fabricator to ensure you receive high quality results with repeatability you can rely upon. Enter Snowline Engineering – one of the most experienced fabrication companies serving the American aviation industry. In the aerospace manufacturing realm, sub-assembly manufacturing involves the production of individual precision parts or components (called sub-assemblies) which are then combined into a larger assembly. A common example is landing gear assemblies and avionics modules, both of which are built from assembling many different smaller components. Lots of CNC machine shops and fabricators offer the capability to manufacture sub-assembly parts – with many even advertising that they offer “aerospace levels” of quality. However, there’s a big difference between your run-of-the-mill contract manufacturer and an aerospace sub-assembly specialist like Snowline. https://lnkd.in/eQJQ99Ny

Choosing the right CNC machinist is essential to ensure the overall success of your aerospace project – especially in the case of highly customized machining services for complex, high-precision components. However, not every run-of-the-mill CNC machine shop will be able to truly meet your specifications and quality standards, even if their listed machining capabilities and tolerances check out. So when you contract out your custom CNC machining project, you must perform careful research, request quotes and, above all, thoroughly discuss all details of your products and application.
