You did it! Proposition 33 rejected by over 60% of voters. With over 95% of precincts reporting, Proposition 33 is losing by 61.6%. SCRHA thanks all of the members who supported our efforts in the fight against the worst form of rent control. Your generous contributions helped get the message out to voters about the negative consequences of rent control. Proposition 34 is also leading with 51.5% of the vote. This measure would help ensure that Michael Weinstein cannot use profits from his foundation to fund a ballot measure like Prop. 33 for the fourth time. While some SCRHA endorsed candidates were victorious, votes are still being counted in local elections. SCRHA will continue to update its Voter Guide as more results become available. Today is Election Day, and it's important that you make your voice heard. The rental housing industry is facing a major threat in the form of Prop. 33 which, if passed, would repeal the Costa-Hawkins Rental Housing Act, and allow rent control to flourish across the state. 📢 Alert: Misleading Claims About Property Management Software Politicians are pushing a rushed proposal to ban revenue management tools, claiming they drive up rents—without data to support their claims! These tools aren’t the problem. They help property managers improve efficiency and serve residents better.
