About us
We are a group of attorneys, law students, and other public-spirited citizens who would traditionally be considered conservative or libertarian. We believe in the rule of law, the power of truth, the integrity of the criminal justice system, the imperative of individual rights, and the necessity of civil discourse. We believe these principles apply regardless of the party or persons in power. We believe, as the Founders did, in “a government of laws, not of men.” We believe in the Constitution. We believe in free speech, a free press, separation of powers, and limited government. We have faith in the resiliency of the American experiment. We seek to provide a voice and a network for like-minded individuals to discuss these ideas, and we hope they will join us in standing up for these principles.

Today the Society joined a cross-idealogical coalition calling on the next president to commit to ethics and transparency. “The Office of the Presidency is a profound public trust. Americans deserve a President who will commit to the highest standards of conduct,” said Gregg Nunziata, Executive Director of the Society for the Rule of Law. “Especially in these sharply divided times, citizens across the ideological spectrum must unite to demand leadership that upholds the rule of law and strengthens our democratic institutions.” https://lnkd.in/e-aU_VUx

The Society for the Rule of Law is hosting a webinar on Restoring the First Branch on October 8. Register to reserve your spot today!
The Founders conceived of Congress as the beating heart of the Republic. Designed as the first among equals of the three branches, it has become the sick man of the Constitutional order. Given that a weakened Congress threatens the very foundation of constitutional governance, conservatives and all champions of the rule of law have a vested interest in addressing these issues to preserve limited government and safeguard individual liberties. Please join us for this timely virtual discussion of the crucial role of Congress in America’s constitutional system, the underlying causes of its current dysfunction, and potential pathways for reform. Experts will discuss the challenges facing Congress today, and propose actionable reforms to restore its effectiveness and integrity. Featuring: Zachary Graves of the Foundation for American Innovation, Marci Harris of POPVOX, Kevin R. Kosar of AEI, Mark Strand, formerly of the Congressional Insitute, and our Gregg Nunziata.
