Session 6 of today's event brought together a panel of experts discussing critical aspects of the construction law landscape. Andrew Aglionby shared his thoughts on the importance of selecting the right expert from a legal advisor’s perspective, while Huseyin Karanci presented the expert’s viewpoint on the same issue. Flavio Peter provided key insights into the enforcement and execution process when it comes to recovering funds. Lastly, Pamela McDonald explored the increasing role of banks in construction disputes, particularly during times of economic instability. The session was skillfully moderated by our board member Basar Sahin, making it another highly engaging and informative discussion!

The fifth session of the day, expertly moderated by our Board Member Muhammet Bembeyaz, brought forward some thought-provoking presentations! 💡 Vincent Rowan explored the Challenges in Ensuring the Effectiveness of Dispute Boards, Levent Irmak delved into How Dispute Boards Achieve Success, Damla Erensoy, FCIArb Erensoy introduced AADR: Hybrid Approaches for Resolving Complex Infrastructure Disputes, and Kagan Aktas emphasized the Critical Role of Experts in AADR processes. 🚀

Asli Yilmaz Palmer from the ICC Court of Arbitration shared her expertise in a powerful keynote speech, offering deep insights into arbitration and dispute resolution. Grateful for the valuable takeaways! 🌟⚖

The fourth session of the day, moderated by our Vice President Ekrem Kaya, featured insightful presentations! 💡 HK S. emphasized the role of Claims as a necessary contract execution tool, Amir Ghaffari discussed Scope Changes, Additional Works, and Defect Claims, Elliot Geisinger shed light on Delay and Prolongation Cost Claims, Mustafa Gun covered Disruption and Loss of Productivity Claims, and Eren Arioglu presented the Evolution of Claim Notices in FIDIC Contracts: 1999 vs. 2017. 🚀

We had the pleasure of hearing from our distinguished keynote speaker, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pelin Alpkökin, Deputy Secretary General of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
