Happy Nuclear Medicine Week! ➡️ My adult healthcare career started (an undisclosed number of years ago) as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist ☢️ . Back when the STAT V/Q scan was in heavy rotation...I still have PTSD when I hear a pager go off. 😖 I continue to hold a current Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) 💉 . ➡️ I got my start as a consultant some years ago helping cardiology and oncology clinics prepare for upcoming state inspections and advanced imaging accreditation submissions. ➡️ My Mother started her career in radiopharmacy, at Southern Research in Birmingham, AL. She was also the first African American woman president of the Technologist Section of Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI). To all of my Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Medical Physicist, Radiologist, and Nuclear Cardiology colleagues, Happy Nuclear Medicine Week! ☢️ #nuclearmedicine #theranostics #healthequity
