A HUGE congratulations to my 3 former SOCOM Athlete students for officially earning their Green Berets; Graduating SFQC (Special Forces Qualification Course) class 336. “De Oppresso Liber!” It was a true honor for me to travel to the SFQC graduation to be a part of their big day, witnessing the special moment that they officially became Green Berets in the United States Army’s elite Special Forces community. These 3 individuals all attended the same Fort Bragg Hell Day event in 2021 prior to enlisting in the Army, meeting each other for the first time through SOCOM Athlete. Each would come back for additional Hell Day events to maximize their readiness prior to enlisting with their 18X contracts, and would keep in touch with each other all throughout SFQC. It’s truly an honor for SOCOM Athlete to witness success stories like this, in which these 3 individuals maintained their camaraderie and accountability to together accomplish their dreams of earning the Green Beret. This isn’t the start, but it’s only the beginning “Send Me!”

A HUGE congratulations to my SOCOM Athlete student who graduated Navy SEAL training, and has now earned the official title of a United States Navy SEAL. It was an honor attending your graduation to watch you and your teammates receive your tridents. He first came to the SOCOM Athlete program when he was only 15 years old. It’s been incredible to see him grow and develop over the years to the man he is today. “The only easy day was yesterday.”

It’s with great sadness we announce our former student, Navy SEAL Nathan “Gage” Ingram, recently lost his life on a high-risk mission off the coast of Somalia. He is the first student we’ve ever lost in the line of duty, and this hits hard on an entirely different level. Our hearts are broken by this tragic loss of one of America’s most elite warriors. SO2 Nathan Ingram, who went by “Gage,” was conducting a night-time seizure of a vessel illegally transporting lethal aid from Iran to supply Houthi rebel forces in Yemen on 11 JAN 2024. The mission was conducted during a violent storm with swells up to 8 feet high when Gage was swept into the ocean unexpectedly. His teammate, SO1 Christopher Chambers, heroically jumped into the raging ocean in attempt to save Gage. Search and Rescue efforts to locate Gage and Chris was officially concluded on 21 JAN 2024. An ongoing investigation is underway. Gage joined the SOCOM Athlete program in December of 2018 while a student at Texas Tech University with a burning desire to become a U.S. Navy SEAL. He was extremely humble, intelligent, and displayed unwavering commitment to his goals. We will never forget Gage and his sacrifice. “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, Here I am. Send me.” #NavySEALs #Navy

Congratulations to our two SOCOM Athlete students for officially graduating the USAF Pararescue (PJ) training pipeline in PJ Class 23-03! “These things we do, that others may live.” We are extremely humbled to also announce that at least two or more SOCOM Athlete students have graduated in every PJ Class this year of 2023. A HUGE congratulations to these two studs for officially graduating the USAF Pararescue (PJ) training pipeline together in PJ Class 23-03! The USAF PJ training pipeline is over 2 years in length, and over 90% of those who start the journey will fail. The PJ training pipeline includes a challenging Assessment & Selection Course, Combat Dive School, SERE, HALO/Military Freefall, Advanced Medicine, Mountaineering/Climbing, Water Operations, Weapons, Tactics, and more. Both of these individuals were faced with extreme challenges along their journey, but they never quit and always found a way to get the mission done. The 2 individuals both joined the SOCOM Athlete program in 2018. One of the PJ graduates was already in the Air Force when attending his first Hell Day event in 2018. He had already attempted PJ INDOC, but unfortunately failed. For years, he was stuck working an undesirable job in the Air Force that he didn’t sign up for, all while dreaming of a second chance at Pararescue training. He was finally given that second chance. 4 years later, he is now officially a USAF PJ. “Never Quit!” The other PJ graduate attended his first Hell Day event as a teenager in High School, flying all the way to North Carolina from New York to attend the event. Serving as a student team leader in the SOCOM Athlete New York group, he has been a huge asset to the SOCOM Athlete program, and we couldn’t be more humbled by his success. He enlisted with an Air Force Special Warfare contract at 18 years old straight out of high school, and graduated as the youngest PJ in his class. Congratulations again on accomplishing your dreams gentlemen. We expect nothing but great things from you as you PCS to your new PJ teams. This isn’t the start, but it’s only the beginning. “These things we do, that others may live.” #Pararescue #SpecialWarfare #AirForce
